Terms of Service
Last updated: 23 July 2026
These terms of service apply to MadPlanner's subscription service on madplanner.dk and in the MadPlanner app. By creating an account and taking out a subscription, you accept these terms.
Service provider: MadPlanner v/ Jacopo L. B. Valeri, Denmark. CVR: registration pending. Contact: privacy@madplanner.dk. (A postal address will be added before public launch.)
The Danish version of these terms is the legally binding one; this English version is provided as a courtesy.
1. Subscription and pricing
MadPlanner offers three tiers: Free, Basic (39 DKK/month) and Premium (49 DKK/month). Current prices are always shown on the pricing page.
VAT: MadPlanner is not yet VAT-registered (turnover is below the registration threshold in the Danish VAT Act). No VAT is therefore charged, and prices are final. When VAT registration takes place, the composition of prices will be notified in accordance with section 7.
Paid subscriptions run month to month; no annual subscription is offered.
While MadPlanner is in beta, access is free for invited families; paid subscriptions start later, and you will be notified before the first payment.
1.1 Trial period
New Basic subscriptions include a 7-day trial period: you register your payment card at the start, but 0 DKK is charged today. If you cancel before day 7, you pay nothing. If you do not cancel, the subscription continues automatically and the first payment is charged. Cancellation takes one click in the app or via Stripe's customer portal. Premium is offered without a trial period (AI features are never free).
2. Payment and renewal
Payment is processed via Stripe (Visa, Mastercard). The subscription renews automatically at the end of the period unless you cancel beforehand. You receive a receipt by email for each payment.
3. Right of withdrawal and refunds
3.1 Statutory right of withdrawal (14 days)
As a consumer you have a 14-day right of withdrawal under the Danish Consumer Agreements Act, counted from the date the subscription is taken out. By subscribing you accept that the digital service is supplied immediately. If you withdraw within 14 days, we refund the full amount — just contact us.
3.2 Satisfaction guarantee
Independently of the right of withdrawal: if you are not satisfied within the first 14 days, we refund your amount in full. No questions asked.
3.3 Cancellation
You can cancel at any time in the app or by email. No commitment, no fee. On cancellation you keep paid features for the remainder of the period.
3.4 When a subscription ends
If your subscription ends (cancellation or failed payment), you do not lose your data: you keep access to your account and can still view, export and delete your saved meal plans, shopping lists and other data. Paid features are deactivated. You can resubscribe at any time and continue where you left off.
3.5 Failed payment
If a payment fails, Stripe automatically retries over a period. If the payment does not succeed, the subscription ends (see 3.4). You can always update your payment card in the app.
4. Your account and your household
- The account holder must be at least 18 years old.
- You can add household members (including children) with a name and any dietary restrictions. You confirm that you are entitled to enter this information (typically as a parent or guardian). The processing is described in the Privacy Policy.
- Important about allergies: MadPlanner's allergy marking is a planning aid. It does not relieve you of the responsibility to check ingredients, packaging and preparation yourself — especially in the case of severe allergies. Dishes that cannot be verified are marked as unverified.
5. Scope of the service and fair use
MadPlanner is a digital service for meal planning and shopping lists for private households. Commercial use requires prior written agreement. AI features (Premium) are subject to fair usage limits, which are shown in the app.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue the service with 30 days' notice. In the event of discontinuation, prepaid subscriptions are refunded on a pro-rata basis.
6. Limitation of liability
MadPlanner is provided "as is and as available". We are not liable for indirect losses or losses resulting from temporary service interruptions. Our total liability towards any one user cannot exceed the amount that user has paid over the last 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory Danish consumer law.
7. Changes to the terms
Material changes are notified by email with at least 14 days' advance notice. Continued use after the changes take effect is considered acceptance. If you disagree, you can cancel before they take effect.
8. Governing law and dispute resolution
Danish law. Disputes are sought resolved amicably; otherwise before a Danish court. You may also complain to the Danish Center for Complaint Resolution / Consumer Complaints Board (naevneneshus.dk) and via the European Commission's complaints portal: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
